I think a big part of it is that you have to sign in to post a message. Mostly I think it's just not a good year for message boards. Even over at footballscoop.com, probably the biggest college coaching site out there right now, isn't doing so hot on their message board. If they get 4 messages a day they are lucky. Plus no one is getting the info on the small schools. Anyone can find out the info on the big guys (just read a sports page), what about the small schools??? No one carries info on these guys. It's too bad, too. There are more NAIA, DII, and DIII guys than IAA and IA guys. But nobody wants to talk about the little guys. Too bad. Alot of good coaches are at those levels. Kcoach last year aleast had some info on the small schools, even if some of it only came from the message board.
My suggestion...ADVERTISE!!! It will take time and energy, but it will be worth it. Send your page to at least one guy on every staff in the country. Put an ad in the AFCA newsletter. Spend the money. Do what it takes!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
